Major exemptions under Pennsylvania and Federal Law

• $300.00 exemption set by law
• All wearing apparel used by yourself and all family members
• Bibles, school books, sewing machines, uniforms and equipment.
• Tools of your trade, such as carpenter's tools.
• Most wages and unemployment benefits.
• Social Security benefits, certain retirement funds and accounts.
• Certain veteran and armed forces benefits.
• Certain insurance proceeds.
• Property jointly owned by spouses ( if judgment is against one spouse only.)
• Such other exemptions as may be provided by law.
